We are getting a late start on our bike riding but we are rolling now.  Here is a shot from a several weeks ago.  

Here is a plant I’m looking to ID.

I was in a meeting room in Little Rock one day last week and found an old photography book on display.  It was printed in 1973 and the arthur was Herbert Smith.  While looking threw it I recognized a tree from one of the photos.  It was a tree I had taken shots of one month before.  Its not really that unusal to run across photos of scenes that I have seen.  But this was a tree kind of in the middle of a swamp.  I guess Mr. Smith thought it was a worthy subject as well. Here is my version.

Here is a shot from Middle Fork Barrens area from this week.  The Orton effect helps tone down all of the fine details.

He had his party over the weekend.  He is 4 years old today.

This is the group photo of some of the Central States Nature Photographers taken at Rod Kissinger ’s cabin.  I was a late show so I missed a few people who had left already, but here a some of us.  You would be hard pressed to find a better set of pictures than you could get from this group.

My web server updated there hardware and for some reason my journal comes up backward.  So I just started a new one with updated software.  I’m not sure its going to come up right either though.
